Well its Christmas Eve and I hope you've all got your shopping finished. I wanted to take this moment to thank all the friends
around the world that have supported myself and my music. Y'all are the best! As a little Thank You, next week I'll be announcing
how you can get a free download of "Good Day". The title track from the forthcoming album of the same name. This
song will not be officially released until the album is released in the coming months so this is your chance to have it first.
I hope y'all have a Very Merry Christmas and we'll talk at cha next week....AJ
I think the last time I wrote I was sadly slowing down on the musical
front to focus on the new electrical
business. Well I'm happy to say
that business has been good and over the course of the last many
months
I've managed to accomplish a few things. First off, after 21
years of smoking cigarettes and ending at about 3 packs
a day, I quit
just over a month ago and couldn't be happier about it. But! Cooler
yet, I've managed
to get a couple tunes ready for distribution and will
be releasing them on December 21st. The winter solstice and
the last
year of the Maya calendar. Hmmm....why is this you ask??? Well the
song I'm the most excited
about I guess is called 'Willie (Had We
Never Been High) and is my tribute to my hero, Willie Nelson and
as
for what the Maya calendar has to do with it, you'll just have to
wait and hear now won't you? The other song
is a rockin' little number
called "American Junkie'. I decided to share in the mixing on this new
record
and boy I'm glad I did! Mark Addison, known for his work with
the Band Of Heathens, Bob Schneider, Will Sexton
and many other
great Austin artists mixed both singles and I'm proud to have had him.
No
promises on a release date for the album but I can tell you it will
be called 'Good Day'. Hope you dig the
new songs. Drop in and let me
know what ya think if you get a minute and if I don't catch you before
the
holidays. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....
